OnePlus 9 series may include three smartphones, the vanilla OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, as per the tipster on Twitter.
However, there is some report which speculates that it is called the OnePlus 9 Ultra.
The third variant moniker is unclear.
The TechDroider tipster suggests that the OnePlus vanilla is fitted with the LE2110 model number while the OnePlus 9 Pro is fitted with LE2117, LE2119 and LE2120 model numbers.
The third version has been introduced with the LE2127 standard.
Over and above the model numbers, there are also specifications for smartphones in the tipster citing a China article.
Max J, the leading smartphone manufacturer of Chinese smartphone firms, had previously reported in October to build its next step under the codename ‘Lemonade.”
But the report quoted from TechDroider shows that the OnePlus 9 series is equivalent to a t-lineup, similarly to OnePlus 8 T, and could therefore be onePlus 9 T instead of onePlus 9 Ultra.
The third variant in the OnePlus 9 series could also be OnePlus 9T.
The series includes characteristics such as IP68, NFC support and dual stereo speakers.
The report also mentions a 144Hz display and 40W wireless charging and 65W wired charging support.
If reports are right, however, the display and the battery functionality can be reduced to the Pro model as 120 Hz display and wireless charging options are available in the OnePlus 8, while the OnePlus 8 vanilla is 90Hz display and no wireless charging support.
Further, Gizmochina sources suggest that the unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC will power the OnePlus 9 Series and can be launched in March 2021.
At a virtual event on December 1, Qualcomm is scheduled to introduce its next generation mobile processor.
However, it is important to remember that the development of the new smartphones has not officially been affirmed by OnePlus.
It is advisable, as suggested by TechDroider, to take details with a pinch of salt.
