Redmi Note 9 Pro users finally began to update Android 11 in India. Although not yet available to all users in the Indian, it will definitely reach everyone in the next couple of days.
This is also Redmi Note 9 Pro first big OS update since the Android 10-based MIUI 11 handset was released. In September it got MIUI 12 but the Android OS remains the same.
Some users with this update have also posted screenshots on Twitter that show that the update size is approximately 2.3GB.
So we recommend that the latest OS version be downloaded and installed via the Wi-Fi and sufficient battery. The software also moves the firmware versions into MIUI V220.127.116.11.RJWINXM.
You can manually verify the update by browsing the Settings > About phone, when you own the Note 9 Pro.
The changelog does not mention the Android 11 info. Some improvements are however, predicted, such as easy conversation handling of various messaging applications at one location, floating chat bubbles that mimic what Facebook Messenger has for Android, easy control of other connected smart devices, and more.
